Launched on 1 October 2025, the Programme was established to empower young Maldivians by providing them with new aspirations, opportunities and pathways for the future.
In a message shared on social media, the President expressed his gratitude to everyone who contributed to the Programme’s successful implementation. President Dr Muizzu said the past year had demonstrated to Maldivian youth that meaningful and productive work could create valuable opportunities and contribute to their future.
A total of 1,028 young Maldivians completed National Service training during the first year, while a further 136 completed additional training under the National Service Skills Training component.
The President expressed confidence that, by the will of Almighty Allah, the Programme would achieve even greater success. He also highlighted the Government’s aim to expand the Programme and create more employment opportunities for young people through the expansion of the National Career Service.
