The Principal Secretary to the President on Policy and Manifesto, former Health Minister Abdullah Nazim, has resigned from his post.
While this outlet has been able to confirm his resignation, the reason for the decision remains unclear.
He was the Principal Secretary of Public Policy in the President's Office and the Health Minister of the current government. Nazim resigned as health minister after 10 ministers resigned following the local council elections held in April.
Nazim was appointed to his most recent post back in June.
He also held the Health Minister post during the tenure of former President Abdullah Yameen.
