Media reports say that a woman has died after a gas leak in a house in Male'.
The report said that two people were injured in the leak and that one of them lost their life while under treatment.
In a message to the media, Police said that they received reports of two people in critical condition in a house in Male' around 10:34 in the morning.
Police said that one of the victims was rushed to the state-run Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital. Police said that the victim passed away while under treatment and identified the deceased as 51-year-old Zahida Thaufeeq.
They also said that the second victim is being treated at ADK Hospital and that the victim is a 19-year-old woman.
Police did not confirm the gas leak at the house but added that they were further investigating the case.
