The National Career Services, NCS, has launched the 'My Career Portal' to further strengthen the job market in the Maldives.
Minister of Homeland Security Ali Ihusan launched the portal at a ceremony held earlier today. The Portal was formally developed by the NCS.
The Ministry of Homeland Security said that this is in line with the Presidential commitment of President Dr. Mohammed Muizzu to build a competent and skilled young working generation under the policy of establishing a job market that prioritizes Maldivians.
It also said that the main objective of the portal is to connect job seekers, employers, and career advisors in a single view. It explained that this will further strengthen the employment sector in the Maldives and establish a convenient system.
The portal, which was launched today, includes job opportunities as well as various modern tools to help shape the future. These include career guidance services. Under this section, job seekers will be directly connected with trained counsellors.
The development of the portal is funded under the World Bank-funded Sustainable and Integrated Labor Services (SAILS) project.
The SAILS Project is a major project implemented by the Government with financial assistance from the World Bank to strengthen the Maldives' labor market and ensure social security.
