Information Commissioner Ahid Rasheed has commended the Housing Development Corporation for achieving a key RTI milestone.
He said via 'X' that HDC has become fully compliant with the proactive disclosure obligations under the Right To Information Act, RTI Act.
Ahid said that by doing so, HDC became the first SOE to reach the threshold.
He also congratulated the HDC for its achievement and added that they have set the standard for other SOEs. He added that other SOEs should be working to mirror HDC's achievement.
Ahid said that SOEs hold large amounts of public money as they run essential services that people depend on. He said that the case for proactive disclosure at this level is at least as strong as any other level
Meanwhile, the Managing Director of HDC, Brigadier General (rtd) Ali Zuhair, said that he was absolutely honored to receive the recognition. He also said that he was proud of the team at HDC for achieving this important recognition.
