The Finance Minister, Moosa Zameeru, has resigned today.
It was reported that in his letter of resignation to President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, he cited health reasons as the reason for his resignation.
Government Spokesperson Mohamed Hussain Shareef confirmed the Minister's resignation.
Zameer was initially sworn in as Foreign Minister when President Muizzu announced his cabinet in 2023. However, he was then appointed as the Finance Minister in September 2024.
